DR VICTORIA CARTER 

MBBS FRACP

Dr Victoria Carter is an accredited Paediatrician working at Hobart Paediatric Group and at the Royal Hobart Hospital. She is accredited to provide neonatal care to babies delivered at Hobart Private and Calvary Hospitals.

Victoria obtained her undergraduate medical degree from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne UK in 2004 before moving to Australia in 2006. She completed her Paediatric examinations in 2011. Her advanced training was completed at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Brisbane and at the Royal Hobart Hospital focusing on General Paediatrics. She was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians – Paediatrics and Child Health division in 2016.

Victoria enjoys teaching medical students and junior doctors and has a teaching role at the University of Tasmania. She is also an instructor on Advanced Paediatric Life Support courses.


Victoria enjoys the diverse nature of General Paediatrics and working with children of all ages and their families. She has broad Paediatric experience ranging from managing newborns to adolescents. Her interests include continence issues, developmental and behavioural paediatrics especially in the early years and mental health conditions.

Victoria is married with two young boys. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her young family, travelling and gardening.
