DR KONYA ROY

Konya has lived in Hobart for most of her life and is a Graduate of the University of Tasmania. She completed her training in Psychiatry at The Royal Hobart Hospital, and then subspecialised in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the New South Wales Institute of Psychiatry in Sydney and The Austin Hospital in Melbourne.
She has worked as a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at The Sydney Children’s Hospital in Randwick, in Central Australia and in Hobart over the last 16 years. Konya has been with the Hobart Paediatric Group since 2013.
She is passionate about supporting the mental health and well-being of young people and their families.
Konya enjoys music, reading and hanging out with her husband and kids. She has eaten crocodile once, and has never been skydiving, although she wonders whether she should try.
