Georgie is a General Paediatrician who enjoys caring for children of all ages, from birth to adolescence. She is interested in the full range of paediatric medicine, managing acute and chronic medical conditions, through to developmental and behavioural concerns. She is passionate about family centred care, and fosters respectful partnerships between patients, families and all those involved in the care of the child.

 

Georgie grew up in Hobart and completed her medical degree at the University of Tasmania. She achieved a speciality in general practice before going on to obtain her speciality in general paediatrics. She trained in Tasmania and at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, with specific experience in acute general paediatrics, paediatric intensive care, adolescent and young adult medicine, and the care of vulnerable children and young people.

 

Georgie works as a General Paediatrician with the Hobart Paediatric Group. She is a Visiting Medical Specialist at the Royal Hobart Hospital, providing care to children admitted to the hospital paediatric ward as well as outpatient clinics. She is part of the paediatric team caring for newborns at Calvary Health Care and Hobart Private Hospital. She holds an academic appointment with the University of Tasmania School of Medicine and teaches Advanced Paediatric Life Support Courses across Australia. Georgie loves living in Tasmania, enjoying the lifestyle it offers and spending time with her family and friends.
