DR AHMAD MOHAMAD

MBBS, FRACP

Dr Ahmad Mohamad is a general paediatrician with fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians. Ahmad was born and raised in Hobart and attended various local schools before completing his medical degree through the University of Tasmania. He went on to complete his paediatric specialist training at the Royal Hobart Hospital as well as the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne. 


Ahmad now works part time at Hobart Paediatric Group and also at the Neonatal and Paediatric intensive care unit (NPICU) of the Royal Hobart Hospital.

Ahmad’s areas of interest in paediatrics include general paediatrics, developmental and behavioural paediatrics and neonatal and infant medicine.


Ahmad loves being able to work with children of all ages, from premature infants to young adults transitioning to adulthood. He believes in treating all the children he sees as unique individuals and recognises the importance of supporting families as an integrated unit. 


When he’s not working, Ahmad is a busy husband and father of 3 young children. In his spare time, he enjoys playing football (soccer) with the South Hobart Football club and tinkering with his restored BMW.
